Booking your ride

How to search, compare, and book a transfer on RideSift.

How do I book a transfer on RideSift?

Enter your pickup point, drop-off point, date and time on the home page. We instantly show prices from every trusted partner that covers that route. Pick the offer you like, fill in your passenger details, and confirm — that is it.

What information do I need to book?

For most rides we just need pickup and drop-off, date and time, the number of passengers and luggage, and a contact name, email and phone number. For airport pickups we also ask for the flight number so the driver can track your arrival.

How far in advance should I book?

You can book up to a few hours before pickup, but we recommend booking at least 24 hours ahead — this gives the partner time to assign the right vehicle and confirms the price you saw at search time.

Can I book a return trip?

Yes. On the booking form tick "Add return" and choose your return date and time. Most partners offer a small return discount, which we apply automatically to the total price.

Can I book multiple stops or extra pickups?

Many of our partners support extra stops. If the option is available for your route, you will see an "Add stop" button on the booking form before checkout. Some stops may add a small fee, which is always shown upfront.

How will I know my booking is confirmed?

You will receive a confirmation email within minutes of booking. The email contains your booking reference, driver assignment details (when available), and a 24/7 support number.

Pricing & quotes

How RideSift prices work, and what is included.

How are prices calculated?

Prices come directly from each taxi partner. They are based on distance, time of day, vehicle class, and any extras you choose (extra stops, child seats, etc.). RideSift never marks the price up — what the partner charges is what you pay.

Are there any hidden fees?

No. The price you see at search includes all taxes, tolls, and fees. The price you confirm at checkout is the price you pay — there is nothing extra at pickup.

Why do prices differ between partners on the same route?

Different partners have different vehicle fleets, service levels, and operating costs. We show you all the options so you can pick the balance of price and quality that suits you.

Can I see the price in my own currency?

Yes. Use the currency selector in the top right to switch between EUR, USD and GBP. The displayed amount is converted at the daily rate; the partner is paid in their local currency.

Do you offer a best price guarantee?

Yes. If you find a public, available, lower price for the exact same route, vehicle class and date with one of our listed partners, contact support and we will match it.

Payment

Accepted methods, security, and how charges appear.

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express). Some partners also accept PayPal and bank transfer. The available methods are shown at checkout.

Is online payment secure?

Yes. All payments go through a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway with 3-D Secure. RideSift never stores your full card number.

When am I charged?

Most partners charge you in full at booking time so the price is locked in. A few allow a deposit at booking with the balance paid to the driver — this is shown clearly before you confirm.

How will the charge appear on my statement?

The charge usually appears under the partner taxi company name (not "RideSift"), since the contract is between you and the partner. Your booking confirmation email shows the exact descriptor.

Do you store my card details?

No. Card details are handled by our payment provider. We only see the last four digits and the card brand for support purposes.

Cancellations & changes

How to change your booking or get a refund.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes. Each partner has its own cancellation policy, which is shown clearly before you confirm and again on your booking confirmation. Most rides can be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before pickup.

How do I cancel?

Use the "Manage booking" link in your confirmation email, or contact our support team with your booking reference. Cancellations made within the free-cancellation window are refunded automatically.

How long do refunds take?

Once approved, refunds are sent back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Can I change the date, time or pickup location?

Yes. Free changes are accepted up to 24 hours before pickup, subject to vehicle availability. Closer to pickup we will try our best, but a small change fee may apply.

What if my flight is delayed?

No problem — partners track your flight using the flight number you provided and adjust the pickup time automatically. There is no fee for delays caused by your flight.

Trust & safety

How we vet partners and protect your ride.

How does RideSift vet its partners?

Every partner is checked for valid taxi licensing, insurance, and a clean operating record. We also monitor real customer reviews — partners that drop below our quality bar are removed from the platform.

Are drivers background-checked?

Yes. All listed partners are required to background-check their drivers and verify their professional licences in line with local regulations.

Are the vehicles insured?

Yes. Every partner carries the passenger and third-party insurance required by their local taxi authority. Insurance details are available on request.

What if something goes wrong on my ride?

Contact our 24/7 support team using the number on your confirmation email. We work directly with the partner to resolve the issue and, where appropriate, arrange a refund or compensation.

Where can I leave feedback or a complaint?

After every completed ride we send a short review email. You can also email info@ridesift.com — every complaint is read by a real person and used to score the partner.

At pickup

How to find your driver on the day.

Where will the driver meet me at the airport?

For airport pickups, your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name board showing your name (or the lead passenger name). The exact meeting point is shown in your confirmation email.

How will the driver recognise me?

Drivers get your contact phone number and the lead passenger name. Most pickups are arranged with a name board; for hotel and address pickups, the driver waits at the door.

What if I cannot find my driver?

Call the driver directly on the number in your confirmation email. If you still cannot connect, call our 24/7 support — we will locate the driver and update the meeting point.

How long will the driver wait?

For airport pickups, drivers wait up to 60 minutes free of charge after your flight lands. For other pickups, the standard wait is 15 minutes — additional waiting time is charged at the partner's standard hourly rate.

Account & support

Getting help and managing your details.

How do I contact support?

You can reach us 24/7 by email at info@ridesift.com or via the contact form on the website. Booking-specific issues are handled fastest if you include your booking reference.

In which languages can I get help?

Our support team operates in English, Greek and German. Most replies are sent within an hour.

Do I need to create an account?

No. You can book as a guest — we just need a working email and phone number. Creating an account simply makes it easier to view past bookings and rebook your favourite routes.

How do you handle my personal data?

We share only the details needed to fulfil your booking (name, contact, pickup details) with the chosen partner. We never sell your data. See our privacy policy for full details.

For partners & suppliers

Information for taxi companies who want to list with us.

How can my taxi company become a RideSift partner?

Use the "Request as Supplier" button in the header, or email us at info@ridesift.com with a short description of your fleet and operating area. We will get back to you with the next steps.

What are the requirements to be listed?

Valid local taxi licensing, full passenger and third-party insurance, background-checked drivers, and a track record of on-time service. We may ask for documentation during onboarding.

How does the commission work?

RideSift earns a small commission on each completed booking. Exact terms are discussed during onboarding and depend on your route and volume.
